Are the wait time predictions accurate?

Yes. Park Prophet uses live wait times, time of day, weather, ride closures, seasonality, and many other data points to generate the most accurate wait time predictions possible.

No matter when you get to the parks, where you are, or what rides you're interested in, Park Prophet will keep you riding instead of waiting!

Who's behind Park Prophet?

We're a group of friends with kids who've been going to theme parks for years. We were frustrated by other planning tools that gave bad recommendations, required interpreting tables or graphs, cost too much, or had bloated interfaces full of redundant information better accessed on the park-provided apps.

We built Park Prophet to make our families' day at the parks better – it's the app we wish existed when we first started going to the parks, and we use it ourselves every time we go!

What if I stop for lunch or plans change?

Accepted Answer

No problem! When you're ready to get back to riding, just hit the "Plan my day" button again on the Planner page to generate an up-to-date ride plan.

Question 5

I don't want to zigzag across the park. Does Park Prophet minimize walking?

Accepted Answer

Yes! When you generate a ride plan, Park Prophet minimizes the total time spent walking AND waiting in line.

If you'd like to reduce walking further, select "Prefer Less Walking" in Settings. This directs Park Prophet to prioritize ride proximity, even if it means a bit more time waiting in line.

Can I add a ride to the ride plan more than once?

Yes! Go to Settings, and turn on "Enable Re-Rides"

Why isn't every park attraction listed?

Accepted Answer

Park Prophet's goal is to minimize your time spent in line at the most popular rides and attractions. Not all attractions have a posted wait time. Others have short waits that rarely change. And some, like shows, simply require you to show up by a certain time. Don't worry about using an app for these – just go!

Does Park Prophet account for inclement weather?

Yes! Park Prophet takes the weather forecast into account when making predictions. This is important because weather can affect wait times significantly. A full day of rain in the forecast may mean lower wait times across the park, while a short thunderstorm might cause wait times for indoor rides to spike. Similarly, water rides will have longer wait times when it's hot outside.
